Treatments for glaucoma and cataracts

  • Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries

Also known as "MIGS," these glaucoma surgeries are relatively lower risk compared to traditional glaucoma surgeries and can be safely combined with cataract surgery.

  • Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty

SLT is a safe and effective minimally-invasive laser treatment to lower eye pressure. It can be used as a first-line treatment alone or in conjunction with eye drops.

  • Traditional Glaucoma Surgeries

Trabeculectomy and tube shunt surgery are indicated in certain cases when a significant reduction in eye pressure is needed and other treatment options have failed.

  • Cataract Surgery

The eye's natural lens eventually becomes a cataract, which is curable with a cataract surgery. Modern cataract surgery replaces the aged, cloudy lens with a crystal-clear lens.

  • Elective Intraocular Lenses

Elective intraocular lenses can permanently correct astigmatism and/or allow for extended range of clear vision, significantly reducing the need for glasses after cataract surgery.

  • YAG Capsulotomy

    YAG Capsulotomy

Some eyes develop clouding behind the new lens after cataract surgery, and require a laser procedure called a YAG capsulotomy to clear up the opacity and restore clear vision.
